Failure to release Mac software is not making "a product that is dedicated to both Windows and MacOS users" because, and I can't believe I have to explain this, all software features for current products have been unavailable to Mac users for nearly 3 years and they still have no plan to address it! And even if they did, if the forum posts about the PC rollout of Synapse 3 in 2018 are any indication, I would not download the first release of the Mac version as they basically force customers to be their beta testers. The reply in post #4 (including the attached email from Razer) is insulting doublespeak. The fact they have not released Synapse 3 for Mac in almost 3 years speaks to their a) incompetence or b) willful neglect of Mac users, though I suspect c) both. I'd love to try new Razer mousepads but don't want to bother as the Mac is a key part of my workflow and some peripherals will not work.I just bought a Kiya Pro webcam only to discover I have absolutely no software features or control thanks to this ongoing Synapse 3 idiocy on the part of Razer. As a user concerned with efficiency I want to be able to use the same hardware on each station I sit at to reduce the time needed for familiarizing.
I am wary of purchasing new Razer hardware as I'm not sure it will be compatible with the software. There are only 4 options compared to the layers of adjustments and tweaks you can make with Synapse 3.ģ. This in itself would save a lot of clicks for a lot of users as one wouldn't need to start it up each time the machine boots up.Ģ. This is truly missed as Mac doesn't properly startup with Synapse software no matter how you configure it. The ability to save profiles on the local mouse hardware. The Synapse Legacy software is missing a few key features from Synapse 3:ġ. I understand that most of them are designed with gaming in mind but even with productivity software or digital audio workstations like ProTools, the speed gains are awesome. Razer mice are incredible tools for gaining efficiencies.
This might be my last Razer product ever after all. Put it in goddamn huge letters in the box DOES NOT WORK WITH MACOS, is that too much to ask? Seriously, screw Razer on this, there is no excuse for duping customers into spending so much of their hard earned cash and leave them hanging. This is so heartbreaking because I've always had a wonderful experience with Razer's headsets - goddammit, I currently own two pro v2 ovals, a black one and a quartz one - I was really starting to get into their products and this happens. SleekRawUmberegg434 Such a great feeling to come home with your goddamn 180 euros Blackwidow Elite and plug it in your Macbook Pro just to find out that you can't do anything with it, no customization at all - and it was the main reason why I chose a Razer keyboard! Now I'm stuck with the most boring of light cycles because Portugal has shitty consumer laws and I can't return it and Razer can't even stick manual control to regular light cycles such as their trademark rainbow LSD one.
